BACnet reachability
Support remote BACnet connectivity patterns, including BBMD-based network coordination where appropriate.
A MENNOT application
connectDesk is MENNOT's connectivity product direction for connecting remote building systems through BACnet, BBMD services and additional secure connectivity methods as the platform develops.
Site connectivity and field-system reachability
Centralized connectivity coordination and service integration
A consistent path for approved remote access and data movement
Product direction
connectDesk replaces the narrower worldBBMD product concept with a broader connectivity service. BBMD remains one important BACnet function, but the product is intended to coordinate multiple connectivity methods rather than represent a single protocol feature.
Support remote BACnet connectivity patterns, including BBMD-based network coordination where appropriate.
Create a consistent MENNOT-managed connectivity layer between remote sites and authorized applications or operators.
Allow the product to evolve beyond a single transport as VPN, ZeroTier, MQTT and other methods are evaluated or implemented.

Development status
This page defines the approved product direction and intentionally distinguishes the core BACnet/BBMD direction from connectivity methods that are still planned or under evaluation. It does not present VPN, ZeroTier or MQTT as released features.
